What Would You Like to Know?

Where will you provide therapy?

Currently, I do not have a brick and mortar office.  I am providing a "mobile therapy" service, providing therapy in your home, or with permission, at your child's daycare or babysitter.  I would also be willing to meet at another agreed upon location (perhaps the library?) if so desired.  Charges are set for a 15 mile radius.  Services provided outside of 15 miles (from Wooster, OH) will be subject to additional travel charges.

Will my insurance cover therapy?

Many insurance policies cover speech and language therapy.  I am not an insurance provider yet, but am willing to provide a super bill for you to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Contact your insurance provider to inquire about coverage for speech and language evaluation and therapy.

Do you always need to complete an evaluation?

No!  If your child has a recent evaluation (within the last 12 months) through another provider or through his or her school, another evaluation would not be necessary.  Please provide me with your child's most recent evaluation.

Do I need a doctor's order?

It depends!  If you plan on submitting your claims to insurance via a super bill, you will most likely require a doctors order for "Speech Therapy Eval and Treat".  If you are remaining private pay, no doctor's order is necessary.

How often will you need to see my child?

After the initial assessment, I will develop a proposed individualized treatment plan.  We can discuss and develop a therapy schedule together after the initial assessment.

How do I pay?

Payment is due on the day of service via check or cash.  A super bill can be provided to you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if needed.

What if I need to cancel?

Of course you are able to cancel sessions!  I'm a busy mama of 3 and I KNOW life happens, illnesses happen, and unexpected events come up.  If possible, please provide me 24 hours notice of a needed cancellation.

Can you just provide summer "bridge" service for my child's current IEP?

Absolutely!  In this case, a formal evaluation would not be necessary.  Please provide me with a copy of your child's current IEP and most recent ETR.

How long are sessions?

Typically, an evaluation session will be scheduled for one hour, with subsequent therapy sessions being 30 minutes.

Do you accept Medicaid?

Not yet, but I am currently applying to be a CareSource Provider in Ohio.
